A Study on Frank the Cab Driver

The Magician's Nephew, written by C.S. Lewis, is perhaps my favorite in the Chronicles of Narnia series. The first story, if you go in chronological order, sets the foundation for the world of Narnia and how many things came to be.

I discovered this gem as an adult as I really dived into the series. It quickly became my favorite and in particular the character of Frank, who I believe is greatly overlooked in the importance of the history of Narnia. I will not go into detail about Frank, as for those who have not read this book, I do not want to spoil anything. Regardless, I spent hours imagining who he was, the things he had been through, and where he was going in life, both as a husband and father.

Frank, and the questions and thoughts I pondered about his life, is the reason I am creating Fatherbound. I wanted to explore these concepts in a different light, apply my own story and world, and see where they take me.

While Fatherbound is in active development, I plan to spend a lot of time back in the world of The Magician's Nephew with a focus on the events centered around Frank. I will be positing my thoughts and studies as I do hope many others find a fascinating study that comes from this. I even have plans to build a devotional study around the theology C.S. Lewis presents specifically in The Magician's Nephew
