When I decided to embark on a journey towards developing a video game with my children, I wanted to make it something we could all relate to. At the core of Fatherbound I want to develop a fun, modern and enjoyable micro-strategy role-playing game. Embedded throughout the world is a diverse cast of characters, each with a rich and detailed story. Players can enjoy the game at a high level, or delve deeper into the world's lore and uncover an emergent narrative shaped by their actions, and interactions with the world's inhabitants.
My kids and I love to explore the worlds built within the games we play. Terraria, Minecraft, Kingdom: Two Crowns are all a few examples of the worlds we love to play in and explore. We hope to accomplish the same in the game we are developing, while bring in our personality, stories and experiences.
Our ambitions are high, and we are excited for every step we take on this journey. Over the coming weeks and months we will begin to fledge out our world and hopefully Fatherbound will begin to take shape. We are excited when the opportunity comes to let you begin to get a glimpse of the world we are creating and the style of game play you can look forward to playing in the near future.
